Before school
A calm start before the bell.
Drop off at Autumn Ridge for breakfast and an easy start to the morning, followed by planned drop-off at Black Ridge.
After school
We meet them at Black Ridge.
We meet the children at Black Ridge and walk back together with adult supervision along the neighborhood trail, so they are not walking along a street. Then there’s a wholesome snack. If there’s homework, there’s time and help for it; otherwise kids can head straight into play—outside when weather allows, with plenty of indoor choices too—until pickup anytime up to 6:30 PM.

Hi, I’m Heather, the owner and primary caregiver. I keep the group small so children can settle into familiar routines, and parents know exactly who to talk with about their child’s day.

2026–27 school-year care
Choose only the care you need.
Monthly tuition covers your child’s regular school-day care. Selected school-year days off are separate from monthly tuition. Full-day summer care is also offered separately for school-age children when school is out for the summer.

After a full school day, children need enough structure to feel settled—but not another three hours of school.
Arrive & refuel
Walk back together, wash hands, eat a real snack, and decompress.
Homework—if they have it
If there’s homework, there’s a comfortable place to get it done with help when needed. If not, they’re free to play, read, relax, or dive into something they enjoy.
Go be a kid
Head outside to run, play games, kick a ball, explore the yard, or just unwind—or stay in and choose from art, building, cooking, books, games, and other interests.
Pickup when your day is done
Pick up when it works for your commute, anytime up to 6:30 PM.
Food is part of the program, not an afterthought.
We plan simple, filling, whole-food-focused snacks and meals, with homemade and homegrown ingredients when practical.
Our food standards
We avoid artificial colors and flavors, seed oils, knowingly GMO ingredients, and heavily processed low-nutrient foods. Organic ingredients are preferred where practical.
When school is out
Full-day care beyond the regular school day.
Selected school-year closures and a separate full-day summer option help cover the workday when school is not in session.
Full-day care when school is closed but you still have work.
Offered on selected weekdays during the school year, such as teacher workdays and professional development days.

The program is built around Black Ridge Elementary.
How does Black Ridge pickup work?
Heather meets the children at Black Ridge and walks back with them along the neighborhood trail. Children are supervised for the walk and are not expected to walk back to Autumn Ridge on their own.
How big is the group, and who will be caring for my child?
Autumn Ridge is intentionally designed as a small-group program, with Heather as the primary caregiver. Children get familiar routines, and parents know exactly who to talk with about their child’s day.
What if my child has homework—or doesn’t?
If your child has homework, there is time, space, and help available. If there isn’t homework, they do not have to sit through extra academic time—they can play, read, relax, create, or choose something that interests them.
What are the hours?
Before-school families may drop off from 7:00–7:25 AM. After school, families may pick up after we return through 6:30 PM.
Is food included?
Yes. Breakfast is included with before-school care and an afternoon snack with after-school care.
What happens when Black Ridge is closed on a weekday during the school year?
On selected school-year weekdays off—such as teacher workdays or professional-development days—Autumn Ridge may offer full-day care. Families already enrolled in before- and/or after-school care pay only the additional full-day portion rather than paying twice for hours already covered by monthly tuition. See full-day pricing.
Do you offer full-day summer care?
Yes. Summer care is a separate Kids Club option for school-age children whose families need full-day coverage when school is out for the summer. It uses weekly pricing and a more relaxed summer rhythm. See Summer Care details.
How do tours and enrollment work?
You can request a tour, ask a question, or start enrollment through the form below. If you request a tour, choose one of the available tour windows and Heather will confirm it with you. If you’re ready to enroll, you can start the process and still choose to tour the space before completing enrollment. Tour or start enrollment.
